Overview of the Plan

This water supply and fee management system is applicable to municipal and county-level urban water companies. This system includes two major systems: the urban water supply network and user water meter network system, and the water supply and billing service management center backend system (network version). The former is reflected in the physical architecture of the system, forming a data collection and transmission link; The latter is the monitoring and service management center of the system, which complement each other and integrate into one, and is an important component of the modern urban tap water supply information automation management system.

As shown in the figure, the hardware of the water supply network and user water meter network system is divided into three layers, namely the bottom layer is the network and water meter water measurement layer, the middle layer is the data acquisition and transmission layer, and the top layer is the data processing and service management layer.

Pipeline network and water meter water volume measurement layer: It is to deliver tap water to thousands of households through pipeline network and water meters, and use various types of remote intelligent water meters to measure and collect the water volume at each node of the pipeline network and the water consumption of each user.

Data collection and transmission layer: Wireless, RS-485 bus or M-BUS bus are used to connect various remote intelligent water meters at the bottom layer to the collector and concentrator according to a certain network structure, and the information is sent to the GPRS network through the GPRS module to achieve the collection and transmission of various water information in the system.

Data processing and service management layer: composed of computers and servers from the water supply and billing service management center of the water company, as well as computers from service stations distributed in different locations in the city.


Characteristics of hardware system

Due to the use of an intelligent water meter collector with completely independent intellectual property rights as the core of the data acquisition and transmission layer, the system has the following distinct features:

(1) Significantly shortened the online working time of smart water meters, reducing their energy consumption by more than two orders of magnitude

(2) Optimized the engineering wiring method, saving the number of concentrators and collectors, which not only saves engineering investment but also facilitates inspection and maintenance

(3) Adopting advanced encryption technology and node identification and authentication technology to ensure the security and reliability of data communication

(4) Adopting an open data collection port design, it has good compatibility with various types of water meters and supports multiple meter reading methods, which is conducive to management and verification.
